Let's laugh at them for a while first!

I thought Jesse Helms' comments were particularly amusing:

'The New York Times and Washington Post are both infested with homosexuals themselves. Just about every person down there is a homosexual or lesbian.'

'Your tax dollars are being used to pay for grade-school classes that teach our children that cannibalism, wife-swapping and murder of infants and the elderly are acceptable behavior.'

And Jummy Swaggart's:

'Sex education classes in our public schools are promoting incest.'

Also, one of Pat Robertson:

'The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians.'

Just thought I'd pop those up there for those of you (the majority) who won't be bothered to read the whole thing.

Now killing these kinds of people is the kind of cleansing I would endorse.

Funnily enough, I was just looking back at the 'God Debate Thread'.

Anyway Jamie, these aren't normal people.

And anyway - by definition, religion transcends logic and, therefore, the idea of 'magic'. I don't really expect you to understand that relatively complex philosophical point, Jamie, don't worry.
