This is a simple FAQ for those guests who are viewing the site, but not joining.

Q: How do you treat new users? Will I get a friendly reception?
A: Yes, you will! As long as you don't act stupid by claiming to know us etc, we'll welcome you! We're generally friendly, but some of the founding members get irritated by idiots suddenly appearing and trying to act clever. So if you're genuine, don't worry!

Q: How come most of the NetHazard users know each other?
A: NetHazard was created for a group of students to talk and keep in touch with each other. It's grown significantly since then, and we're now accepting random users as well.

Q: What's the VIP list?
A: This is basically a list of the afore-mentioned students. They have special access to all areas of the site. Don't worry though, you're not missing out on anything.

Q: What is Wibbl and Parp?
A: W&P is basically a fan-made version of Weebl & Bob, involving the founding members of the site. Check the 'Resurrection of W&P' thread for information on the creators and content, plus links to the cartoons. 

Q: What is the 'crap outlet'?
A: This is another term sometimes used for the thread 'Communal Crapping'. Here is the place for any random rubbish you may feel the need to post, and is the only area where spam is allowed. Don't do it too much, though.

Q: Wtf is 'click'?
A: Click is a phrase made up by one of our original members, meaning 'wink wink, nudge nudge' (pointing out an innuendo). Its actual origins are long-winded, and you don't really need to know them.

Q: Anything else I need to know?
A: Most everything else useful is covered in the rules thread. This and the other stickies should explain what to do and how to do it.

Q: What if I need extra help or advice?
A: Don't hesitate to PM one of the mods once you've joined up. We're very friendly and we won't bite! (A list of mods, plus other handy stuff, is on the NetHazard toolbar above.)
