electric is generally more expensive. you also need an amp for the guitar to sound good. and then you can only play like rock song coz other hip hop song don't have guitars

electric is good but u need am amp and a power supply so playing space is limitted!
acoustics are great anywhere anytime also good for starting fires with and having a good old camp (not camp!-monster jamie ross and any1 else that would click that!) sing song and are great fun in genral!
elec is better once ya know what ya doin!
