No. The new Manics album is released (the first lot of new stuff for 4 years). There's also another band releasing an album, but they don't sound much good. Called REM or summat!!!!


And last night, I had this idea to reform this topic into one where we all share our musical discoveries. Wow! I start


Delays: Light, indie-poppy summery stuff. And they're from just up the road in Southampton. A bit like: The Thrills


Kasabian: A bit dark and drummy. A bit like: The Music, or Soulwax


Ordinary Boys: General indie stuff A bit like: Lots of other stuff


 


Come on people, share your musical discoveries. I need new stuff to listen to!

NightWish: modernish classical music. A bit like: evanescence. Best song: ohhh...id say dead boys poem


Skillet: more rocked up linkin park. A bit like: shouting linkin park, but not in a tastless gothic way. Best Song: Savior or eating me away


Trapt: catchy rock. A bit like: offspring. Best song: headstrong (definatly worth anyone trying)

It's, er, not sure. But it's good. I believe it's a contraction of 'independent' as a reference to the bands being on an independent record label.

How strange... I was thinking of writing that for the 'it's a bit like' bit.


How rare... anyway, Belle and Sebastian are pretty cool. *gets out WinMX*


And, Aaron... do you actually think that Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly is highly intelligent music or do you just listen to it for the comedy value (that sentence is in no way putting them down..I liked them a bit when you played them!)


And finally, the self-titled album from Kasabian is out on September 6th (buy it) and they are performing LSF (lost souls forever) on Top of the Pops tonight (watch it...just for that, everything else is crap). And it's on early, which means I can watch it before I go to work! Yay!

The Stills :Pretty good rock band A bit like: Kings of Leon, but more subdued and epic. Best songs: Out of the one's I've heard: Still in Love Song; Love and Death;

i listen 2 them coz they r good and some songs are funny like spicy mchaggis jig and the pub with no beer!


but most are serious good punk rock irish songs! bout really irish things like guinness beer pub fights and shamrocks
