I have just read a story that may bring tears to your eyes.
A Romanian doctor has been suspended for... basically castrating his patient.
During an operation to lower the man's left testicle into the scrotum, the doctor accidentally cut the urine tube. At this, he got very angry and started using his scalpel to slash the man's penis into several pieces.
The man will be undergoing reconstructive surgery soon (hopefully not with the same doctor) and is said to be in a stable condition!
I read an amusing news story recently, also (this is the gist):
A Russian man recently found out he was dead. He was on the list of casualties for a bomb-blast several years earlier. Because his wife was blind, she asked her mother to identify the body. The mother got it wrong, and the body was buried. So, the man was officially dead for years!
(Not quite sure how his wife failed to notice him being alive for all that time, but still...)
