Until Wheatley creates a *serious* subforum, we'll make do with these.
I realise it's a bit too late, now that the election has been over for several months, but here's your chance to voice your opinions about topical thingies such as immigration, tuition fees, Zimbabwe and other such things.
I also realise that it will probably only be Monster, me and a couple of other people using this thread, but that's just because: -
a) people won't be bothered to read this long-winded stuff
b) even if they do, they will have absolutely no opinion or interest in such things
c) if anyone does have an opinion, they are unlikely to post either because they can't be bothered, or because they don't want to be made fun of.
But anyway, I'll kick off. Who thinks the UN should intervene in Zimbabwe?

In Zimbabwe the president, Mugabe has started a policy of "urban clearing" which essentially is knocking people's houses down and making them homeless. I think that the Iraq troops should take a slight detour on the way home
The first step towards helping Africa out is ousting all the people like Mugabe, so that the money they give the continent will go into helping people, not killing them.
Otherwise it's just a bottomless pit. I can't remember which country it was, or what the exact amount of money was, but a while ago something like £60 million of debt was cancelled to some country or other. The ruler of that country immediately went out and bought a £60 million jet.

What Do you remember better, the Live8 Concert or Poor African people starving? What do people talk about more, the music or the African people dieing of curable diseses?
I thing most people Remember the Music more...
I don't think Live8 has done much apart fom being the biggest worldwide music Concert ever...
