Okay then, here's my new idea. Every week, we will have a new top 10/50/100 etc chart. This could be the top ten video games, the top fifty films, the top hundred books, etc etc (although obviously the larger the chart, the harder it gets to orchestrate).


This is how it will work:


Say it was the top ten films - each user selects their top 10 films and gives each a number of points (1, 2, 3, 4 etc) and submits them. At the end of the voting period, the scores for each film are totted up and they are given a place (1st, 2nd, 3rd etc), depending on their score. Simple really. (Obviously this would be better with more people, but what the hell.)


So, what poll do you all want first? Suggestions please!


P.S. - If you can think of a better system for voting, please tell me.

why don't we just start with films? that seems an easy enough one to do


also, we should make the rules clear... like, if it's the top ten, u can't have for example, 10 twice... and that it's gonna be, the higher the score the better? or... 1 as the best, so the lower the better?


so, this is probably what you already meant, but.. everyone puts their top 10 in order so it's easier to count

Yeah, that's what I meant, but it wasn't very clear.


So, just to clarify - all you do is pick your top ten and put them in order. (Your first place gets 10 points and your tenth gets only 1.) Then I count the points up.


So then, I'm not sure whether to start a new topic or not. I think we'd better have the first one (top ten films) in this topic, then have a new topic for each afterwards, so that they don't get mixed up.
