Course you could change it. If it told you things that would happen in the future if you hadn't seen the list. But now you have seen the list, the things can be changed. I mean if what it tells you is going to happen isn't definite. Like the 'It will show you things that have been, things that are, and some things...that have not yet come to pass' thing in LotR.
