Bright Eyes, Modest Mouse, Rilo Kiley. Listen to them with whatever mind you like: I like them, therefore they are good.

Probably no one's ever heard of them (although they were on that Live Act Unsigned thing), but I saw This City the other day. Much better live than recorded, but I liked them, which is rare for me when I see local bands at random bar gigs.
