The first movie to show the death of Bruce Wayne's parents as it exists in the original Batman mythology. In the 1989 version of Batman, it was The Joker, or Jack Napier, who killed Thomas and Martha Wayne. This was specifically written for the film to set up the tense dynamic between Batman and the Joker. In Batman Begins, it is Joe Chill who kills Thomas and Martha Wayne, as seen in the comics

No, it's not really. Can't remember what it was, but they completely cocked up their predicitons for a film I was waiting for. Nothing like what actually happened.
